Songs of the Season

I just love nights like this: sitting under a comfy cover in front of a lighted tree and savoring a couple of Christmas cookies while listening to my all-time favorite songs of the season.

I wish you could be here to enjoy the ambience and these goodies with me. But since you can’t, the least I can I do is share my favorite holiday songs with you.

May you all have a happy and healthy holiday season!

  3. I agree. Although Crosby and Bowie were from from different generations and musical worlds, they melded their voices effortlessly in this duet.

I”m a big fan of Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy with David Bowie and Bing Crosby. I think it’s one of the most unusual duos I could imagine, but they are fabulous singing that song.

Great playlist. I would also recommend “Mary’s Little Boy Child” by Harry Belafonte, “Silent Night” by B.E. Taylor, “Children, Go Where I Send Thee” by Kenny Rogers (featuring Home Free), “When A Child Is Born” by Susan Boyle (with Johnny Mathis), “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Vince Vance and the Valiants, and :God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman” by Barenaked Ladies & Sarah McLachlin. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
